“Shoe Polish is very oily and can be hard to deal with when getting into the fibers of your rug, but don’t worry were here to help!”
1. Equipment Needed
Water │ Liquid Dish Soap/Dry Cleaning Solvent │ White Cloth or Paper Towel
Firstly, upon discovery of the shoe polish stain, scrape the remaining residue left using a butter knife. The sooner the better when it comes to this situation.
Next, you will want to get a dry-cleaning solvent of your choice to the spot. Sponge the shoe polish stain by blotting it until all of the liquid is gone.
Now you can make a solution containing 2 cups of warm water and one tablespoon of liquid hand washing detergent.
Apply the solution to the shoe polish stain as you continue to blot the stain being sure that you are slowly absorbing all the liquid.
Lastly, pour cold water onto the stain and continually blot until your rug is dry.
