There are several ways to remove a red wine stain but here are a few of our favorites that we believe prove to be the most beneficial. Below we will outline a few methods to utilize and remove that awful stain, we also included an alternative method just in case the stain has had a chance to really sit in. Some techniques work better than others so be sure to try both and see which one works best for you.

” Begin by pouring cold water or white wine over the red white stain and soak up what you can with a clean dry towel.”

1. Equipment Needed

    Water    Baking soda  │  Hydrogen Peroxide  │   Dish detergent

2. Steps

Make a simple solution containing soap, hydrogen peroxide and liquid dish soap in equal parts.

Simply pour the mixture over your red wine stain and let it soak for a minute.

Upon on the solution sitting begin to blot the stain until it can no longer be seen.

 Another method that can be utilized to clean a red wine stain is by using baking soda.

To begin pour cold water or white wine over the red white stain and soak up what you can with a clean dry towel. Try to repeat until the stain has faded considerably.

Now you need to mix some baking soda and water into a thick paste and spread it over the stain.

Then cover it with a clean cloth and weigh it down with something heavy such as a large book and let it set overnight

The next day try to remove the majority of the baking soda with a spoon and vacuum up the remaining baking soda. These are few methods that will be beneficial to you and your rug.
