Now I’m a Dog on a Rug!

Hello Humans! It’s me, Palmer, your favorite furry friend.

I know there’s been something weird going on out there among you guys; it took me a little while to find out the reason why my hoomans are staying at home all the time, washing the grocery shopping in the sink, spraying disinfectant almost everywhere, and why they wear masks while they are not sick at all!

To be honest with you, I kinda like this! Because I love my family even more than themselves and more quality times with them is definitely good news to me, Woof, Woof!

The boredom got my family to make changes in the home

Spending almost the whole time at home has brought some changes. Now my humans are paying much more attention to the place they are in. My family got bored with the home after a little while. So they decided to make some new changes to the home design. So they could get over the face-mask-season in a better mood.

After spending a lot of time on their laptop and discussing, they came up with the idea of buying a new dog! I was chilled to my bones at that moment because I didn’t know should I be happy or not. It could mean a good friend or a competitor for my place in the house. Because I geta confess I’m a little bit jealous and sensitive when it comes to my humans.

I kept overthinking with myself on how to get along with this new dog. Should I share my treats? Will the newcomer be my bestie or my competitor? Is the new dog he or a she, and what could I do if my humans loved that dog better?

I was overwhelmed with my thoughts until the day arrived. Unlike what I had already imagined, it was a rolled, soft, colorful thing with an elaborate pattern on it. I was quite shocked because it had no eyes, tail, paws, or anything to make it a real dog, and above all, it wasn’t moving or barking at all!

The embarrassing moment

Well, after overhearing my family, I found out the embarrassing truth: It was a Rug, Not a Dog!

At that moment, my worries turned into a pure puppy curiosity! I wanted to discover this newcomer and add it to my territory as soon as possible.

The rug is my now my snuggle spot

I will never forget the first time I walked on this thing called rug. My paws had never touched anything this soft. I instantly loved this new part of my territory and snuggled on it for the rest of the day. It was so comfortable and warm that I wouldn’t want to leave it like ever! After a few days, my hooman was complaining about the bad smell coming from the new rug. It was my fault, but my family showed quite well understanding because they knew the rug was too good to leave as well.

I know how much they love me and anything about me, but the rug is not supposed to smell like a dog. So, my mom gave a call to another hooman called David to visit us and take care of the smell on the rug.

Mom said she is the best Rug Expert in town, and I learned something new: These rugs have experts as well, like my dad’s car and my mom’s laptop. That means somebody should come and fix them when they are in trouble.

Here come Khazai Rug Cleaning and their crew

After just a few minutes, KRC and their crew were at our doorstep. They looked quite nice and took the rug by hand and promised to remove the smell and bring it back cleaned and refreshed soon.

The next day, KRC and their crew were at our doorstep again, this time with a rug that was clean and smelling so good! They placed it exactly where it was before. Mom and Dad were relieved because the annoying smell was gone. After all, I promised them to be cautious while snuggling on the rug.
