STAIN REMOVAL GUIDE: Nail Polish

1. Equipment Needed

Plain Vinegar  │  Water  │  Butter Knife  │  Baking soda  │  Terry Cloth 

 

2. Steps 

1. Begin by removing any leftover nail polish by using your butter knife.

2. Wet the stained area entirely with ordinary vinegar and then place a paper towel soaked with vinegar also on top of the stained area and let it sit for ten minutes. 

3. Now scrub very gently once the vinegar has had a chance to sit, and then rinse the area with water or another wet and clean cloth. 

4. In case you would like to use baking soda as an alternative to get the nail polish off the rug, sprinkle it over the area to cover it thoroughly.

5. Then use some ginger ale and pour it on top of the area and let it soak for ten minutes. You can then scrub gently to remove the nail polish from the rug. Then rinse it with cooled water.

6. Lastly, prop the rug up so that both sides can dry correctly.
