STAIN REMOVAL GUIDE: Cooking Oil

Oil has been used in food preparation pretty much since the beginning of time. Even if cooking oil is meant to be used in the kitchen and meant to stay there, sometimes accidents do happen and oil makes its way onto your rugs.

Over the centuries cooking oil process has been refined and perfected that more efficiently extract and refine oil from different types of vegetables and seeds.

This has been great for consumers because it creates a purer, safer product for them to use, but not so good for having to clean up accidents. In fact, the purer the oil the deeper it can penetrate rugs and fabrics.

Remember, for oil that is derived from animals, or oil that is used for mechanical purposes, different methods will be used. For instance, please refer to our complete cake stain removal guide.

Use this simple cleaning method to get vegetable-based cooking oil out of the rug and make your rug looks great again!
